Summer Time

Well, all the kids are home from thier trip to Colorado. They went to stay with George for a week. It was tough, but we got through it. They had a good time, although Luke said he didn't want to do that again unless I stayed with him. Curt and I stayed in Salida for a few days and did some four-wheeling. It was fun and only an hour away from the kiddos if I got to missing them too much. So now we are getting ready for Disneyland. This summer has just been cram packed with excitement. We will all come crashing down when school starts back! Just wanted to let everyone know what we have been up to around here. Will have lots more after Disney I'm sure!

Kids are at Nana's

Well, the kids are at Nana banana's for the week. Curt was off Mon-Wed and went back to work today. We have had a nice time having dinner together, watching movies, playing cards... but boy do I miss the kids today!!!! I am so glad that we finally live close enough to grandparents so that they can really get to know the kids and spend quality time with them. They are making memories that they will treasure for a lifetime. Some of Curt's and my most fondest memories are of time spent with our grandparents. Being a military family little things like spending the week at nana's means so much because who knows where we will end up next and when they will get to do this again. I'm so thankful for being here close to family.... finally!

They are growing up too fast!

I feel like I just woke up one morning and there were no more babies in the house.... Oh I miss all the snuggles straight from the bath. And how they would fall asleep on you lap all nestled in like that spot was made just for them. I remember when Luke was a baby and he would get fussy in the car, all I had to do (if Curt was driving) was reach back and hold his hand. He would calm right down. He would hold my had til he drifted off to sleep and I couldn't bare to let go despite the terrible cramp that had developed. The other day he was sitting right behind me in the car and I just reached back and he grabbed my hand with out saying a word and held it all the way home. I hope my kids always feel like they can reach for my hand, no matter what.

Okay, so I had to get on board with this blog thing. First of all I think it is the best therapy there is and a wonderful way to keep in touch with everyone, since our lives can be so busy these days. So bare with me as I figure this all out!
